David Herington - CEO
David founded Etail Systems in 2009 with the aim of helping businesses maximise their ROI from the Internet and get the very best performance from their ecommerce solution. David is an engineering graduate who has held senior positions across a range of sectors including defence, automotive, printing, manufacturing, management consultancy and, of course, internet and ecommerce. From 2001 David was the Operations and Technical Director of eDirectory.co.uk, where he masterminded the development of their leading edge ecommerce platform and search engine optimisation techniques. In any spare time David enjoys playing tennis, walking in the Lakes and sailing.
David Wright - Operations Director
David is a co-founder of Etail Systems and heads up the operational side of the business, ensuring solutions are delivered on time to the very highest standards. Subsequently David ensures our passion for client satisfaction is maintained, and any new functionality or tips on SEO are delivered effectively to our clients. David has previously worked for WH Smith for 14 years, managing stores in various UK locations and acquiring his passion for (r)etailing. David went on to co-found the Software Directory magazine and was instrumental in taking the magazine online in 1997, out of which eDirectory.co.uk was born. With over 12 years experience David has an unrivalled knowledge of the Internet, ecommerce and SEO.
David splits his spare time between renovating his new house and enjoying family days out, walking in the Lakes or visiting places of historical interest.
Jackie Smith - Sales Manager
Jackie joined Etail Systems in May 2009. In her role as Sales Manager she is responsible for all aspects of the sales function. She has a deep understanding of ecommerce and since 2000 hundreds of businesses have profited from this attribute. Jackie's key strength is her ability to communicate with clients in an understandable and approachable manner. Whilst more than capable of dealing with technical queries she realises that ecommerce is essentially a business tool. "Ecommerce may be technically complex, but it must justify its existence financially and it's my job to make that case" she says.
Jackie spends almost all her spare time dedicated to her young son's football addiction!
Matt Morrison - Technology Guru
Matt joined the Etail Systems Team in September 2009 and has brought an extensive and wide ranging skill set with him having worked for some large ecommerce development teams in New Zealand. Matt is very passionate about software development and is always researching new technologys that could be implemented into our system which helps us to keep on the leading edge of ecommerce development.
