Ecommerce Web Site Design

We develop a design brief for your web site reflecting your corporate requirements and aspirations and turn this into a storyboard of concept pages for your refinement and approval. Our philosophy is to generate maximum revenue from your web site so we recommend attractive styling and graphics blended with prominent product placement. Once you approve the design our team use our ecommerce technology to create your webshop. Features of the web site include: searches by keyword, brand, manufacturer or model number; currency comparisons; automatically generated site map; wish lists; newsletter subscription; catalogue requests; reviews; forums.

Back office
Our back office 'Content and Order Management System' (COMS) will become the heart of your business where you control the layout and functionality of your web site, control product, stock, shipping and delivery information, and process and despatch orders. COMS fully integrates all aspects of your business and enables you to manage every aspect from one console.

Search Engine Optimisation
Web site optimisation for the leading search engines is included, with SEO friendly meta tags, urls, links and headings generated automatically from the site and product data. COMS allows you to create unlimited promotional pages where you can place search engine optimised text, graphics, products, articles. We can also advise on or provide off site SEO if required.

Product information
Setting up products using COMS is very straight forward allowing you to concentrate on the quality and search engine friendliness of the data you enter. Products require at least one photograph for promotion and product info pages, but can also include any number of larger photos, video files and embedded You Tube content. Photos can be uploaded and resized through COMS.

COMS supports a number of pricing and discount options including RRP, normal price, offer price and wholesale price.

Any number of product variation or options can be added with individual pricing if needed.

Once you have created your product data it can be used to support several different ecommerce web sites, enabling multi channel web marketing under different branding or using niche 'micro' sites. Product data can also be fed into other shopping and marketing channels. COMS becomes the central repository for all your data which can all be controlled from one system.

Products are placed in any number of departments, and these departments can be linked together to form your 'department structure' or 'category tree' with any number of levels and each with its own promotional content.

Recent products are tracked for the customer and can be compared with one click. Products can be linked to each other to create specific lists for recommended products and 'customers who bought this also bought these'. Web site shopping cart and checkout

Products are added to the shopping cart individually or in groups. A summary of the shopping cart contents can be displayed on the web site.

Shipping costs can be calculated by weight, order value, fixed cost per order or per item and then based on service level and delivery destination with minimum / maximum overrides if necessary.

Gift wrapping, gift messages and product personalisation can be offered on some or all products.

You can offer customers the option to register their details or make it a requirement for ordering.

We integrate seamlessly with a number of leading Payment Services Providers (PSP's) to ensure payment is processed securely directly to your account. All our PSP's are certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and your site will be fully compliant.

Manual orders can be entered directly into COMS. Order processing, picking and despatch

When a customer places an order they receive a confirmation e-mail. You can view your orders and their status, generate order pick lists, confirm picking and generate despatch and invoice documents

Any change in the status of an order automatically sends an update notification to the customer. Stock control and warehousing

Stock control can be applied to some or all products with several options available for low or out of stock items, or items which are on backorder or due for release. Lead times can be applied to individual products.

You can create a picking warehouse with any number of stock aisles, bays and bin locations, together with additional warehouses for bulk or off site items. Picking lists are generated by warehouse route to ensure efficient picking and perpetual inventory check lists are available to maintain high stock accuracy.

Training and support
We provide you with online training in all aspects of COMS and the operation of your web site. We also provide ongoing support including further training, minor data and design modifications, and help and tips on SEO.

Our ecommerce software runs of a common set of core code and as we develop new features and functionality these are automatically made available to you. In accordance with our philosophy we aim to provide all this, with ecommerce hosting and unlimited bandwidth, for our agreed monthly fee. That way you know what your costs are and can budget accordingly without having to worry about incurring charges making improvements to your web site. The only time we would charge extra is if you require a major change to the design of your web site or additional functionality which is not in our development programme.
